About Stephen:
I spent most of my childhood growing up on a sheep and cattle station just south of Julia Creek at Kynuna, Queensland, Australia.

Growing up on a station was so perfect for me as I am very passionate about our Australian environment and outback life style. It was through this early exposure to our beautifil environment that lead me into starting photography, which today has grown into my passion.

Every day on the station I would see different animals, plants, sunsets, thunderstorms - it was a constant changing display.
.I always felt sad that others couldn’t get to see what we got to see free on a daily basis.

In the early 1980’s, well known conservationist Harry Butler started his TV series and published his books “Harry Butler in the Wild”. Harry brought the Australian wildlife via the TV and his books into peoples lounge rooms. This was exactly what I wanted to do, so Harry was inspirational in setting the direction in my life.

I have worked as a Senior Environmental Advisor for a resource company for thirteen years and have been an active conservationist being involved in many exciting projects. I shoot both motion and still photography for stock footage and freelance assignments. I have been shooting for over 15 years with images in over 25 different countries.

I hope you enjoy my web site.

Kind regards
